Adult Eye Exams

Regular Eye Exams Protect Your Long-Term Vision

Adults should get a checkup every year or two. Healthy eyes look and feel great, and will have clear vision. But eye health goes even deeper than that, and a comprehensive checkup will look into any underlying issues that could be forming.

Even when your vision is fantastic, we want to know your eyes are in perfect condition below the surface.

What Happens During an Eye Exam

Your eyes help you learn, communicate, and understand the world around you. We test your vision and your eyes – we want to know how your eyes see close, far, up, down, and sideways! Depth perception, eye teaming, and your ability to focus are all determined with lens and chart tests. Your retina and macula are checked with high-tech scanning to ensure all the eye structures are healthy and happy.

We want you to know what each test is for and what we find out from each test. When your exam is over we will sit with you to go through everything we’ve discovered. The appointment isn’t over until you’re satisfied: when you understand everything and all your questions are answered.

Who Needs An Eye Exam?

Vision changes can be very slight and typically happen over long periods of time, meaning you may not notice any difference day to day. Eye strain and outdated prescriptions could be causing you ongoing issues without any major symptoms. Annual eye exams are your best security for your eye health.

Routine eye exams are all it takes to build eye health for a lifetime.

Digital Eye Strain

These days, most jobs and education rely on time in front of screens. All this time spent reading reports, writing essays, and researching articles can lead to digital eye strain. This can manifest itself through a number of symptoms like headaches, neck pain, and trouble focusing.

There is relief from digital eye strain. Talk to us about how to make your life more comfortable.

The latest technology gives us an opportunity to diagnose age-related diseases sooner than ever. Better outcomes can be achieved when treatment is administered in the early stages of ocular diseases like diabetes-related retinopathy, glaucoma, and even cataracts. Unfortunately, most develop without any overt symptoms. By the time vision loss is noticed, irreversible damage may have occurred.

Our comprehensive eye exams include ocular disease screening, so you can be certain your eyes are as healthy as they feel.
